STREET ROOTS VENDOR POETRY READING EVENT RECAP
WOW! What an amazing night.. Street Roots poetry reading was an incredibly moving performance. Each poet delivered a raw and powerful performance. We are deeply touched by Street Roots for providing people with restorative platforms for their voices to be heard. These events remind us of the vital role we each have in our community, deepening the importance of connection and support. Thank you to all the poets for sharing your words, and to everyone who supports Street Roots mission. Together we are stronger!
The May 22 Street Roots Vendor Poetry Reading was sponsored by the Pearl District Neighborhood Association (PDNA) and our friends at Portland Pearl Rotary Club. This event is part of PDNA's Storefront Activation Program in the Pearl. Our goal is to help revitalize the Pearl by activating vacant storefronts to bring new energy to the neighborhood and to enhance the Pearl’s reputation as a center for arts and culture. We are exited to partner with these organizations to share our vendors' poetic talent with the community and gather together!
