Summertime in the City

Although it feels like summer is endless, with sunny days, adventure, and marvelous times in the warm weather, children throughout Portland are out of school enjoying all that these amazing days have to offer. It's hard to believe that September is only a month away.

Many kids in our city find going back to school stressful. It's not made any easier by economic hardship. Our friends at Downtown Self Storage is thrilled to be once again a part of helping make it a little easier for underserved kids by joining the KGW School Supply Drive! Each year, local businesses work with KGW News to collect donations to ensure that every child in our area starts the school year right.

Make a Difference

Drop off new school supplies at either of Downtown Self Storage's Pearl District locations: Davis Street: 1305 NW Davis Street, Pearl District, Portland, or Johnson Street: 1304 NW Johnson Street, Pearl District, Portland.

If you would prefer to donate online, with a single donation of $25, you can ensure a local student starts the year with the supplies they need. Once donations start, KGW will accept donations here: kgw.com/school.
